Remembering....

It's so hard to believe that it has been 4years now of visiting the cemetery on Memorial weekend, and almost 5years since Abbey went home to Jesus. Abbey has been on my mind alot this week with the sad news of Steven Curtis Chapman's 5year old daughter passing away in a at home accident. That feeling came back, the one where your stomach just hurts and your heart just breaks. You never think that something like this could happen and when it does there are no rules or guide book. I just pray and ask you to do the same that God just covers them with his grace in this time that they need it most. We were blessed to have Abbey in our lives for 2 years 10 months...may the loving memories stay forever!! Here is a poem that was given to me when Abbey was called home-
When God Calls Little Children Home
When God calls little Children to dwell with him above,
We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of His love.
For no heartache compares with the death of one small child
Who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold,
So He picks a little rosebud before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them, so He takes but a few
To make the land of heaven more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult, still, somehow we must try,
The saddest word mankind knows will always be "goodbye."
So when a little child departs, we who are left behind
Must realize God loves children...Angels are hard to find!

Beautiful girls, beautiful poem, beautifully remembered.

How come life can be both beautiful and tragic? (I'll save that question for God someday.)
