Introducing Sun-Kissed Studio: Airbrush Tanning

Dear Blogging Friends-I just wanted to let you all know that I am opening a new business. It is called Sun-Kissed Studio: Airbrush Tanning and it is in Lynden right next to Shane's office.

We have been working very hard for the last two months remodeling Shane's little out building at 212 6th st. Now with all that hard work behind us I am all set and ready to go. We officially open for appointments, March 9th.

I would like to spend the next week practicing my technique. This is where you all come in! I've decided to book and do tans for donation for Relay for life. This is a win-win-win for everyone. I win because I get a chance to practice. You win because you get a great tan to help lift you into spring, and Relay for Life wins because of your generosity!!

Please check out my website at http://www.sun-kissedstudio.blogspot.com This will help to answer any questions you may have about airbrush tanning. When we are open and operating the price for a tan will be $30.00. For this fundraiser though, I would recommend a $15 donation. It can he a really fun experience to do as a group (not tan as a group, just come in together). So if you can get a group of 3 or 4 and book at the same time that would be awesome.

Coming in as a group however, is not a requirement and I would love to work with you to find something that works for you. So please give me a call to book your tanning appointment or your group time!! I also am available to answer any of your questions. This fundraiser will run from Mon Feb 23rd to Saturday Feb 28th!!

Can't wait to hear from you!!

They've come a long way baby!!

Wow what a difference a couple of years can make!

Shane wanted to get a picture of the boys because it seems like lately they are just growing like weeds! Every time we turn around they have grown an inch. And I hate to admit it...but Truman is so close to passing me up....Yikes! Anyways, we thought it would be kinda cute to line them up and see where they are at, well Kali would have no part of it....she needed to get in on the action. It was really cute. The funny part is we have a perfect XL, L, M and S...makes shopping easy!!

Random Kali-O!!

Today our Sermon asked, "Who's your daddy?" The premise was that as kids we all want to be like our Dad or Mom, we imitate them hoping we can be just like them. Pastor Kurt asked if we are still trying to do that as adults, trying everyday to imitate our Heavenly Father. It was a great message, and it reminded me of this picture. The other morning Shane was doing his morning devotions and Kali ran to find her bible (princess devotional book). She grabbed her coffee (aka Chocolate milk) and sat down next to her daddy for some quiet time. A beautiful moment. My husband, her daddy, teaching his daughter the importance of taking time with her heavenly father. Pretty Sweet!
Now on to some more random moments. I have been trying to back off the 3 hour naps. Well, that usually means that she passes out on the couch for about an hour. This was one of the more unusual positions I've found her in.
Kali with her new best buddy Tess. We went to Tess's house for Superbowl and she was awesome. They played and played the whole game!! Thanks Tess!!
Kali loves to dress herself. I know most moms with girls can relate to this stage. It is both great and annoying at the same time. I love to see the different combinations she comes up with and then trying to justify to me why they match....to cute. However there are days when i just want her to wear what I want her to wear and then we tango...it usually ends in a compromise. This time It was, "OK Kali, you can wear the sundress! But you have to wear the turtleneck and jeans...it's snowing and 20 degrees" That hat was her personal addition!! Oh gotta love my little Kali-O!!

A weekend away!

Last weekend Shane and I went down to Seattle. He had meetings on Friday that were followed by dinners on both Friday and Saturday night. Shane went down with a co-worker in the morning so I followed later that afternoon. Don't tell the authorities...but I took these pictures while driving...or sitting in traffic! Seattle is a beautiful city and the weather was awesome!
I had to get a picture of the infamous Seattle traffic. Always a bottle neck!!
Me and my honey!
It was a busy weekend...in between the dinners we drove back up to Anacortes to watch Jake and Taiji's basketball games. They did great...it's always fun watching them play together.
Both dinners were great and the company even better, thanks for the ride Matt and Joy.
On Sunday we went to Ikea to shop for my new shop....For those of you who don't know, I am opening an Airbrush Tanning salon, 'sun-kissed studio'. I am really excited about it, I will be posting more information soon...but if you want to know more before that...leave a comment and I will get back to you!
