Presents, Presents and More Presents...

Kali and her first briefcase!
The boys LOVE baseball cards...so this year they got whole set of 2006 players and a wooden box with their names engraved!

Just a little bit excited!! Do you think he liked it!?!
Kali quickly got the hang of this...and for a 20month old her patience was amazing!!
The boys have been great...everything they get, they swear it's the best thing ever!!
Boys need t-shirts...we go through a couple a day!!
I had Shane take a picture of me...just so you know that I am really here...please ignore the fact that I haven't taken a shower and look...well whatever!!

Here is our family Christmas....spread over a couple of days of course, but no less a very Merry Christmas. The boys are currently at the Seahawks game and Kali is sleeping so I am left to reflect on what this year's Christmas has meant to me. And the word that instantly comes to my mind is, appreciative...I appreciate my life, my family(extended and immediate), my job (kid raising), my home, my small group, my angel in heaven, my relationship with my son's family, my friends and most importantly my God who has made all of those things possible for me! I hope and Pray that you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! May God Bless you all!

King Family Open House

The Cousins hanging out...Shane, LD and Chip
Guela and her youngest two Grandkids, Weston and Kali
Aunty Bec trying to maintain her status as favorite Aunt!!
Lots of People, Lots of fun!!
Kali with her cousin Lacey from Alaka

It is a beautiful thing to be a part of such a large family, because anytime one of the out-of-towners comes back into the fold for a visit...there is a need to gather. We had fun last night touching base with the Kings from both Colorado,Virginia, Alaska & Texas. We talked, laughed, and of course ate. What a blessing!

News from Japan

We decided that because Jake was at his dad's house and Kali was sleeping we would let the boys open their package from Japan. They were excited to find a couple of surprises #1- Some great flannel PJ's, #2-$30.00 in crisp american cash and #3-they are going to be big brothers again next month. Ritsuko is expecting a little girl in January. Of course this comes with a little mixed emotions because they don't get to see their mom and won't get to see the new baby, but they do love babies and are excited to have a new sister. Time will tell how this one plays out, but we continue to trust that God will guide every new twist and turn.

Jake's Family

In order: Jake, Truman, Taiji, Mady(in blue), Daisy, Kelsey and Kali in the front.
Jake's sista's in the matching hats!!
This pictures were alot easier to take...no little monkey's to try to manage!!

In a blended family there are all sorts of different dynamics and from an outsider looking in it may seem confusing and a bit complicated. However, we have worked very hard to make it work for Jake!! Today was the perfect example...we did a gift exchange of the siblings...it was very fun...jake wasn't quite sure about it since he himself didn't get anything...but everyone else thought it was great. Here are a few pictures of our very unique and very blendedly beautiful gift exchange.

Faber Family Christmas

Yeah...more Elmo!!
Here is Grandpa's new toy!! We are excited about it because it actually has seat belts...no more dumping the kids out on the sharp corners!!
Sorry Rolf...but I had to do it!! I think she liked it!!
The boys are always excited about Grandma's gift...Gameboy games!!
Jessie had asked for some cookie cutters...do you think 100 is enough?
Kali with her daddy...doing her favorite past time!!
The Faber Family Christmas was last night!! We sure know how to do it right...there is always great food, and great fun!! Everyone brings their favorite appetizer and of course I always have an experiment or two. The kids did great and everyone loved their gifts. A good time was had by all!!

It's a Seahawk Christmas Eve!!

We decided that we would let the boys open an early Christmas gift. Of course that had no objections!
They were excited to find under the tree a little Seahawk Gift pack...including: long underwear, a long sleeve & short sleeve Seahawks t-shirt, Seahawk dog tags and of course Seahawk tickets.
Here is the excited Seahawks fan club! In full gear...and don't worry we will make sure they put pants on for the game!! GO HAWKS!!

Elmo's World

Elmo's world is our world...one of Kali's first words was mel-mo...her favorite books are Elmo books, her favorite video's are Elmo videos, her favorite show on TV is Sesame Street with her favorite part being Elmo's World...need I say more!!
Please ignore the messy face and dirty shirt...focus on the very cute kid wearing the Elmo Slippers!

Tis the Season...Part 2

Christmas Program #2- Jake and Taiji had their Christmas Program today. As you can see Kali was very interested in seeing what the program was going to be about. Every year they have the K-4th perform a little number and then they also sing a couple songs together. This year's program was called, "Christmas Rhyme".
It was nice of Jake and Taiji's Teacher to put Jake, Kelsey(Jake's sister), and Taiji altogether for the program...it made picture taking a lot easier. Here we have them singing their little hearts out. You just have to love the white capes and red bows...it never gets old!!
Taiji our little choir boy!
Jake looks oh so charming!!

Tis the Season....Part 1

It is the season of the 'Christmas program'!! The 6th grade class at LC always does a musical for Christmas. This year was The Mysterious Christmas Card. It was very well done and the class as a whole did great.
Truman had made it known that he had no interest in a lead role...this landed him as a homeless man, playing uno in one scene. And as you can see from his costume apparently he thinks gang member and homeless are one in the same!!
Ever the comedian, he couldn't miss his chance to try to make someone laugh!!

Fashion Show...sorta!!

My little monkey, she loves her new clothes...but she wasn't going to let me get a good picture!
Daddy and Kali!
SOOOO BIG!!!
Here she is racing over to the camera to come and see the picture I'm TRYING to take!!
Here is her new Holiday dress...it's quite overwhelming for her when putting it on, but once it's on she loves to dance around!

Well according to my mom...I have not been putting enough pictures of my beautiful children! So I got this big idea that I would have Kali do a little fashion shoot of all the new clothes that I got her for Christmas and couldn't wait to give her!! I'm pathetic, I know!! Anyways, my idea and Kali's idea of a fashion photo shoot were quite different. I imagined my sweet little Kali sitting pretty with her new clothes on, smiling her big toothy grin...well what I got was a race around the house. She wouldn't sit still! Oh and the kicker...she knew exactly what she was doing!! Turkey!

Like brother like sister!!

Kali Faith loves her brothers...she wants to be with them, act like them and I'm afraid now she even looks like them. She found Truman's glasses the other day and wouldn't stop until she got them on right!! I have a little diva in the making...she has those brothers so trained, she yelps and they come running. The problem is they are gone most of the day and who gets to deal with the diva in the mean time!?!

Christmas tree fun!!

This was the annual Christmas Tree Chopping adventure!! The weather was perfect, sunny with lots of snow on the ground. The kids were great...what do you expect they just had a whole week of snow days...and the tree was found in record time...which always makes mom and dad happy!!
